CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machines are literal life-savers for those with sleep apnea, and high-quality distilled water is essential to the viability of the breathing assistance devices.   Toledo Water Conditioning had offered free water to CPAP users last month, but the last day of the giveaway saw heavy snow, and many people could not venture out in the nasty weather.

To make up for the problems people experienced with the weather, Toledo Water Conditioning is giving away another two gallons of purified water to sleep apnea patients for their CPAP machines.  This will take place Friday, May 22nd from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. High-quality purified water is still hard to find on grocery store shelves during the COVID19 pandemic.

No appointment is necessary, but recipients are asked to stay in their cars with their trunks open and drive though the parking lot on the west side of the building.  Upon arrival, a Toledo Water Conditioning team member will put 2 gallons of water in the patient’s vehicle.

Toledo Water Conditioning is giving away purified water for CPAP users, but supplies are limited, and available on a first come basis.  Drinking water is still available but the free offer is restricted to those who need purified water for their CPAP machines.  They ask for some basic proof of CPAP use such as a cell phone photo, the doctor’s prescription, or a piece of the CPAP hardware.

John Keener, president of Toledo Water Conditioning, said this is their way of helping the community in this time of crisis.  He mentioned that CPAP users can be high risk patients during the COVID19 pandemic and the need for purified water in their breathing devices is absolutely essential.
