Bacteria
Bacteria is present everywhere on earth, yet only a very few types are
harmful to humans. Some of these are in the choliform family and are
associated with human and animal waste.
One of the most notorious varieties is E. COLI which can be harmful and
even fatal.
Bacteria are likely to be present in areas where sewage runoff is not
properly addressed. This can occur in surface waters or wells.
